Receptionist

Duration: 3 months
Location: Glasgow
Rotation: Monday – Thursday, 30 hours per week
 

Position Overview

This position is an opportunity to work with an industry-leading, global EPC contractor committed to supporting the energy transition. The company delivers consultancy services throughout the asset lifecycle and excels at providing integrated, next-generation project delivery and execution. This position will be responsible for facilitating communication, ensuring operational efficiency, and acting as a first point of contact for staff, contractors, and clients in a highly technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for staff, contractors, and clients, handling all reception duties professionally.
  • Facilitate the meeting and greeting process and contribute to maintaining a welcoming office environment.
  • Oversee filing systems and update office databases to support accurate record management.
  • Assign and monitor tasks from the site-specific Facilities central reactive inbox.
  • Manage UK Switchboard operations: answering, transferring calls, and relaying messages as required.
  • Process incoming and outgoing couriers and post efficiently.
  • Liaise with building management when necessary to support office operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Competency at an intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office 365 packages.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities within technical or engineering company settings.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to record keeping and activity reporting.

  • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks.
