Renewable energy policy advocacy lead - Korea
Location: Korea | Full-time
A global industry-driven clean energy initiative is seeking a lead to support policy engagement, renewable energy collaboration, and stakeholder coordination in Korea. This role includes significant government advocacy responsibilities and frequent English communication with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with government ministries, regulators, and public-sector stakeholders to advance clean energy policies.
- Coordinate working groups, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor policy and regulatory developments and provide clear updates to global partners.
- Support corporate renewable energy procurement efforts, including PPA, REC, and grid-related discussions.
- Organize workshops and meetings with corporate buyers, energy suppliers, and technology partners.
- Represent the initiative at events and contribute to membership and partnership growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, energy policy, engineering, public affairs, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy, sustainability, clean technology, or policy work.
- Strong experience engaging with government agencies or regulatory bodies.
- High proficiency in English and native-level Korean; able to communicate effectively with global stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work with diverse partners.
- Strong writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in energy policy advocacy in Korea.
- Familiarity with corporate renewable procurement models (PPA, REC) or grid innovation.
- A network within Korea’s energy, climate, or policy ecosystem.
- Interest in advancing clean energy and industrial decarbonization.
