Location: Calgary, AB

Schedule: Monday to Friday (5/40)

Duration: 2 years contract

About the Role

Phase 2 Project consists of an integrated facility (estimated value >20Bil USD), comprising 2 major scopes i.e. Plant (including Company Provided Items-CPI) and Pipeline.

We are seeking a skilled Risk and Change Integration Lead to assess, identify, and manage potential risks that could hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial success of our company.

The incumbent is responsible to ensure smooth planning and integration of the Risk Management for overall Phase 2 Project. This role will require exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of business risk management, and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure, strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse stakeholders and quality reporting are provided in a timely manner

.

The role of Risk and Change Integration Lead:

  • Demonstrate personal commitment to HSSE.

  • Own and implement the Phase 2 Risk Management Plan

  • Leading in the Risk Management Planning for the Phase 2 Project integrated team (Plant/Pipeline/Integration).

  • Leading the Integrated Project Risk Assessment for Phase 2 Project.

  • Leading the Integrated Risk Management work process, tools and framework for Phase 2 that comprises of Plant/Pipeline and Non-Technical Risk.

  • Advocating risk management processes and implementation.

  • Responsible to prepare and deliver Integrated Project risk management reports for stakeholders

  • Responsible to response and provide clarities required by stakeholders.

  • Identify, assess and manage risks that could potentially impact project deliverables and to provide presentation to management.

  • Proposed risk mitigation plans and strategies ensuring the Project to be delivered safe, timely and within cost.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry, regulatory, and company standards.

  • Advocate and implement risk management policies and protocols.

  • Perform risk assessment at different stages of the project.

  • Coordinate with project team and stakeholders to communicate potential risks.

  • Monitor and review risk management processes and identify areas for improvement

  • Conduct training and workshops on risk management process, framework, practices and procedures for the Phase 2 team as required.

  • Interface with risk and action owners including Project Managers, technical leads, non-technical leads, and functional leads. etc for risk management and to highlight issues and concerns. Display a strong positive attitude to manage change and improvement in our processes, ways of working and our overall performance.

  • Support deliverables for ESAR4 (Estimate and Schedule Assurance Review 4) assurance event, currently expected in March 2026,  required as a FID process.

  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders and supporting as a One Team approach.

  • Courage to hold strong to views when challenged or challenging others.

To be successful, you will need the following experience and skills:

Essential Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas industry in Project Services – Planning/Scheduling, preferably with at least 3+ years LNG projects (FEED/LNTP, Detailed engineering and execute phases).

  • Proven work experience as a Project Risk Manager, Risk Analyst or similar role in mega projects in execution phase.

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

  • Experience in using risk management software (Pro-Risk) and tools.

  • Understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations

  • Good listening, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Good team working skills in multi-location and multi-cultural environment.

  • Working on different geographical location and time-zone.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Highly skilled in Pro-Risk software and Project risk analysis.

  • Excellent knowledge of risk assessment methodologies

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in projects with modular fabrication, with understanding of the design-fabrication-construction interfaces.

  • Experience in Pipeline Project will be an advantage.

  • Effectively cooperating to meet project safety, quality, schedule and cost targets.

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong communicator and influencer, able to engage with technical and non-technical audiences across levels.

  • Ability to align and motivate cross-functional teams in a high-performance project environment.

  • Adept at navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and delivering under pressure.

This role requires that you: 

  • Work Location:

     Calgary, Canada

  • Work Schedule:

     Due to different geographical location, may need to work outside normal working hours.

  • Reporting to the Program Office Manager

  • No of direct reports: Nil

  • Travel to other engineering offices, fabrication yards and project site (Kitimat) may require.

  • Key External Interfaces: Operating Asset, CGL, Pipeline, and Kitimat site interfaces with Plant.

  • Consulting with Plant and Pipeline planning team, personnel in other departments or brownfield project delivery team to discuss and resolve issues.

  • As and when required, serving as an essential team leader on project teams inside and outside organization, project, activity or function.

    • Be legally entitled to work in Canada, (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)  

    • Are willing to comply with company’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

    • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
