Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer / Specialist III

Position Overview
This opportunity is focused on providing advanced discipline engineering support within a technically demanding project environment. This position is responsible for evaluating engineering work, supporting compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements, and helping to ensure effective coordination across project stakeholders. The role requires strong technical judgement, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively within changing priorities and tight delivery schedules.
Role Context
This position sits within an engineering project setting connected to the energy sector and supports both new project development and upgrades to existing facilities. The role involves working alongside project teams, as well as reviewing work completed internally and by external contractors and subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on safety, discipline engineering quality, and execution alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide technical comment on discipline engineering work to ensure alignment with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the effective execution of engineering and design routines in line with established project goals, objectives, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely communication with the wider project team and relevant business functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and issues.
- Review designs for new projects and upgrades to existing facilities for compliance with company and industry safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within the relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
- Environmental, Health and Safety experience and Loss Prevention experience.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and strong written and verbal English communication skills for technical and business environments.
