Head of Sales – Asia Pacific (Measurement & Industrial Solutions)
Position Overview
The Head of Sales (Asia Pacific) will lead and drive all commercial and business development activities across the APAC region for measurement systems and industrial solutions within the Energy sector.
The role requires deep industry expertise, strong regional market understanding, and proven success in handling complex sales opportunities across diverse markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei, Australia, China, India, and the wider APAC corridor.
This executive leader will develop regional strategies, manage key customer relationships, guide the sales team across multiple countries, and ensure consistent revenue growth while strengthening the company's market presence in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Regional Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute a multi-country sales strategy tailored to APAC market dynamics.
- Set sales targets for individual countries and oversee regional performance KPIs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to a geographically dispersed sales team.
- Oversee regional sales budgets, resource planning, and revenue forecasting.
2. Business Development Across APAC
- Lead business development efforts with national oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), EPC contractors, FPSO operators, and system integrators across the region.
- Manage strategic customer engagements with key APAC players such as:
- PETRONAS, PTT & PTTEP, PERTAMINA, Shell, ENI, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Woodside, Santos, CNOOC, SINOPEC, ONGC, and major EPCs in Korea/Japan/China.
- Drive early-phase project involvement during pre-FEED, FEED, EPCIC, and Life Cycle Management
3. Technical & Solution Expertise
- Provide leadership on measurement technologies and solutions including:
? Ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis, and differential pressure flow measurement
? Gas and liquid metering systems
? Sampling skids, analyzers, chromatographs
? Metering control systems, SCADA, RTU/PLC automation
? Digital metering, remote monitoring, IoT
- Support regional customers with technical reviews, compliance checks (API, ISO, OIML), and technical solution presentations.
4. Multinational Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with regional sales office for efficient sales and marketing activities.
- Support regional partner and distributor development to expand coverage.
- Project pursuit and regional coordination
5. Market Expansion & Strategic Partnerships
- Identify emerging opportunities in LNG, FPSOs, deepwater projects, petrochemicals, CCUS, hydrogen, and refinery modernization within the region.
- Build partnerships with regional EPCs and technology providers in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Japan, China, and Australia.
- Represent the company at APAC industry conferences, energy summits, and technical forums.
6. Policy & Compliance
- To ensure all work and tasks are carried out in accordance with the Companies ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 QHSE Procedures
Competencies
1. Strong understanding of:
- Flow measurement equipment (USM, Coriolis, turbine, etc.)
- Gas & liquid metering systems and calibration practices
- Sampling systems and analysers
- Digitalisation & industrial automation trends
- Compliance with standards (API, ISO, OIML, IEC)
2. Ability to engage with technical decision-makers across different markets.
- Excellent in leadership and inter-personal skill
- Proven experience in APAC region
- Strong understanding of the energy industry
- Proven experience in process instrumentation or automation business
- Excellent contract negotiation skills
- Fully versed in contract terms and conditions
- Excellent in strategic planning and sales channel partner management
- Knowledge in custody transfer or measurements will be an advantage

Education / Qualifications
- Proven track records or testimonial as the Sales Director or Head of Sales function with at least
of 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Automation, or related)
- MBA is an advantage
- Base: Kuala Lumpur
- Travel required (approx. 30–50%).
