About the Role
A well-established global organisation within the industrial packaging and equipment solutions sector is seeking a Sales Executive to support and grow its customer base across New South Wales/Greater Sydney.
This role is ideally suited to a commercially focused sales professional with experience selling complex equipment, industrial products, and technical solutions. The successful candidate will inherit established client accounts while being responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across target industries.
We're looking for someone who can effectively balance account management with business development, with a strong emphasis on hunting and converting new opportunities.
The position is hybrid with the option to either work from home or the office, with regular customer visits across the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities
- Build strong relationships across operational, procurement and management stakeholders
- Develop account plans to maximise client retention and growth
- Conduct client meetings, site visits and sales presentations
- Provide value-based solutions tailored to customer requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client support and delivery
- Prepare sales forecasts, account reports and pipeline updates
What You'll Need
- Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development or Territory Sales
- Strong ability to both manage existing accounts and win new business
- Hunter mentality with a demonstrated track record of generating new opportunities
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Current Australian driver's licence
Highly Regarded (But Not Essential)
- Experience selling into manufacturing or industrial environments
- Exposure to steel manufacturing or steel processing industries
- Experience within the packaging industry
- Knowledge of industrial consumables, packaging solutions or related products
- Experience working with large national clients
