We are currently searching for a Senior Buyer, to be based in Monaco and work in a 12 - month contract with the possibility of extension.
Job Description:
As Senior Buyer, you are responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services required for project or operations execution. This role involves negotiating contracts and commercial terms and ensuring timely delivery to support project and operations timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and lead procurement plans based on project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Follow strategic sourcing category manager framing and evaluate suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers for critical packages to secure favourable agreements while mitigating risks. You align with the category management team as needed.
- Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and company policies.
- Ensure procurement activities align with budget constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on procurement status, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and monitor the team of buyers and support them on their activities as needed.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field
.
Experience:
- 8+ years’ experience in procurement within the oil and gas industry.
- Master in negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
