As a Senior Procurement Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing and contract management within the resources industry, with the depth of experience expected from a highly skilled procurement and contracts professional with strong expertise. The role requires the ability to negotiate with suppliers, contractors, establish solid commercial relationships, and evaluate proposals and quotations to support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of procurement and contracts strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Evaluation of market trends to adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
- Research and analysis of potential suppliers.
- Assessment of supplier capacity, quality, and reliability.
- Negotiation of contract terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Maximization of value through effective and sustainable negotiations.
- Competitor analysis and benchmarking of best practices.
- Identification and evaluation of risks associated with procurement and contracts.
Skills and Experience:
- End-end project procurement delivery experience
- Degree qualified or equivalent in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience required.
- A proven track record of administering Procurement and Contracts
- Team participation, coordination and high-level written communication skills
