You will report to the Principal Designer and be offered the following opportunities:

You will be responsible for:
- Adhering to company values, as well as safety standards and practices.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations, codes, internal standards, procedures, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Producing high-quality 2D and 3D models and design drawings based on engineers’ calculations and sketches.
- Developing plant layouts using preliminary project data, basis of design, and other key inputs.
- Reviewing vendor drawings, models, and technical design data.
- Delivering assigned work within project schedules and budgets.
- Tracking and maintaining progress of drawings produced by assigned team members.
- Managing design and drafting resources to meet agreed deliverable timelines and cost targets.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams across various business units.
- Presenting 3D models and drawings to stakeholders.
- Contributing to project reviews, including design reviews, safety reviews, risk assessments, cost estimation, and schedule reviews.
What you bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering Design Drafting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical design/drafting, preferably within mining or mineral processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
- Proven experience in plant layout design and detailing, particularly for materials handling and process plants (full plant layout capability is essential).
- Proficiency in Bentley 2D and 3D design software.
- Demonstrated experience supervising drafting personnel.
- Practical understanding of fabrication and construction techniques within materials handling and mineral processing environments.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and flexible, with the ability to respond to changing project requirements and timelines.
