Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer (focus on Rotating & Marine equipment)
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Contract: 12 months (renewable)
Set up: Monday to Friday (3 days from office 2 days from home)
Expected starting date: July 2026

Role Overview
- Selection of methods and procedures for mechanical design and engineering.
- Proactively plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget.
- Ensure Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with contractual and internal requirements.
- Utilize lessons learned to understand change impacts across project system boundaries.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties as per contractual requirements.
- Act as Package Engineer with technical responsibility for design, procurement, and manufacture.
- Lead engineers on assigned scope of work.
- Serve as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering: Strong background in mechanical systems and equipment.
- Rotating Equipment Expertise: In-depth knowledge of rotating machinery.
- EPC Experience: Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction processes.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize designs effectively.
- Project Management: Skills in planning and executing projects within budget and timelines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline required.
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles, particularly in the energy sector.
- At least 5 years of experience on Mechanical Engineering background
- Rotating and/or Marine equipment experience
