Pay Rage: $85.00 - $96.00 Per hour
About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of capital and/or closure projects, from initiation through execution and closeout. This role ensures projects meet defined business objectives by managing scope, cost, schedule, risk, change, and stakeholder expectations. The position requires strong technical grounding in electrical (preferred) or mechanical disciplines and the ability to lead projects within an operating industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Deliver projects to approved scope and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Manage cost, schedule, risk, and change throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor and report project performance indicators to meet governance requirements
- Ensure all work complies with applicable standards, specifications, and internal procedures
Stakeholder & Interface Management
- Implement and maintain a stakeholder engagement plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide technical support to project participants and decision?makers
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and support teams to define and deliver project requirements
Contract & Vendor Oversight
- Support sourcing and selection of vendors/consultants
- Manage contractor performance and ensure deliverables meet expectations
- Resolve project delivery issues in a timely and effective manner
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to project delivery processes, tools, and methods
- Support lessons learned and project closeout activities
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Electrical discipline preferred; Mechanical discipline accepted
- Extensive experience delivering capital or closure projects in industrial environments
- Proven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, risk, and change
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and consultants
- Ability to work independently in a fast?paced operating environment
- Must reside in Kitimat, BC for the duration of the assignment
Preferred
- Experience in heavy industrial, utilities, mining, or large?scale infrastructure
- Familiarity with owner?side project governance and reporting requirement
