Overview
We are currently recruiting a Senior RAM Engineer to support major rail projects in the leadup to the 2032 Olympics. The role requires someone with considerable experience across Safety Assurance AND RAM delivery on notable rail construction programs.
Location- Brisbane, QLD (relocation package available for interstate applicants)
Duration- Permanent, Full-time
Salary- $170,000 - $190,000 + Super

Responsibilities
Execute Safety Assurance and RAM activities across major rail projects
Ensure life cycle safety assurance and compliance with relevant codes and standards incl. 61508, ISO 15288 and EN5012x
Guide projects through safety approvals and certifications processes, SIL Assessments
Develop Safety Cases and SFAIRP arguments in support of design type, testing and commissioning approvals, representing arguments to stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, operations, asset maintainers
Utilise FMEA and FMECAs to assess reliability, availability and maintainability
Experienced in producing RAM Plans, RAM Modelling, RAM Analyses techniques (Reliability Block Diagrams, FMECA, Availability predictions, Defect Liability Period Planning, MTTR etc)
Communicate findings with key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil or similar
8+ years SESA / RAM experience, ideally within rail projects
Knowledge of relevant standards:
EN 50126/8/9
IEC 61508
IEC 62267
ISO 15288
Understanding of full Systems Engineering V-Lifecycle / INCOSE handbook standards
Familiarity with Reliability software such as Isograph (AWB or RWB), Reliasoft or RAM Commander
Proficiency in producing RAM techniques, FMEA, FMECA, RBD, FTA, DLP, FRACAS etc
Knowledge of industry standards (AAR, AREMA, IEEE, CENELEC)
Australian Working Rights – Permanent Resident or Citizen
