Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with strong design capabilities and experience supporting structural integrity and site-based activities. This role suits a senior-level professional, with flexibility for part-time engagement.
The successful candidate will contribute to both design delivery and on-site structural assessments, ensuring safe, compliant, and practical engineering solutions across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural analysis and design to ensure safety, compliance, and constructability
- Review and validate design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Assess material behaviour and performance under construction-stage conditions
- Prepare and review technical reports
- Conduct site visits to support structural integrity assessments
- Develop and advise on construction methodologies and sequencing
- Work closely with contractors and site teams to ensure buildable solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver integrated solutions
- Coordinate across disciplines and participate in interdisciplinary workshops and risk assessments
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders for project delivery
- Assist in tender preparation and work-winning activities
- Identify and manage technical and commercial risks for both the organisation and clients

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Min 10 years+ post-graduate experience in structural engineering
- Experience in design and site-based structural engineering work
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and construction safety principles
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality engineering documentation
- Demonstrated capability in delivering practical, buildable solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with site teams and contractors
- Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Strong coordination and teamwork capabilities
