Airswift is looking for a Senior Subsea Control & Distribution Engineer to work in a contractor position in Mexico City for an oil and gas company.

The Senior Subsea Controls & Distribution Engineer serves as the technical authority responsible for governing the Subsea Controls & Distribution architecture for the Zama Project in the Gulf of Mexico/Mexico, providing leadership from FEED through detailed engineering, fabrication, testing, offshore installation, pre commissioning, and early operational support, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of subsea control, power, communication, and distribution systems throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Subsea Controls & Distribution Engineer provides technical leadership for subsea control systems and distribution, including subsea control modules (SCMs), topside control systems, umbilicals, electrical and hydraulic distribution, communications, and interfaces with SPS hardware. Leads Subsea Controls & Distribution FEED execution and governs detailed engineering, reviewing contractor and vendor deliverables to ensure technical fitness, cybersecurity and functional safety compliance, adherence to applicable codes and standards, and alignment with safe working practices across all project phases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure safe working practices are implemented within the team along alt phases of

the project.

Promote a positive safety culture.

Assist the Subsea Production System (SPS) Lead in the successful management and achievement of project objectives.

Provide technical oversight and quality assurance throughDut the project's phases. It includes conducting post-job evaluations and capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across subsea controls & distribution architecture and engineering activities.

Act as the project's technical authority for subsea controls & distribution.

Perform ad-hoc engineering studies related to Subsea Controls & Distribution.

Support the preparation of procurement package information as required.

Lead and coordinate the Subsea Controls & Distribution engineering work during

FEED, Contract finalization, Project preparation and Project execution.

Ensure progress, fitness for purpose, and compliance with COMPANY Rules and Specifications, Project requirements and international codes of alt engineering for Subsea Controls & Distribution and associate items during all Project phases.

Be responsible for review, fitness for purpose and compliance with Project and COMPANY requirements of Subsea Controls & Distribution FEED and EPCI Technical offers. Lead the technical clarifications with Tenderers and ensure timely closing of technical qualifications

Ensure that all engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification, pre- commissioning and commissioning aspects are suitably addressed during the different engineering phases by timely reviewing (or having reviewed) and validating the relevant Subsea Controls & Distribution documentation issued by FEED and EPCI Contractor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electrical or equivalent).

Extensive experience in subsea engineering, including:

o Design, construction and implementation of subsea control and distribution systems

o Design, construction and implementation of subsea hardware

o Design, construction and implementation of subsea systems Subsea installation operations (offshore experience)

o Subsea drilling and completion operations (offshore experience)

o Subsea production operations (offshore experience) • Flow Assurance and Operability (FA&O)

o Subsea intervention operations (including offshore experience)

o Subsea interconnection design in existing fields (including offshore experience)

o Subsea abandonment and restoration operations (including offshore experience)

 Proven experience acting as Owner's Engineer / technical authority for deepwater offshore projects and operations

Strong international experience in executing deepwater projects and operations, including experience in complying with foreign regulations

Prior experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering

Proven leadership in subsea control and distribution through FEED and detailed engineering, with continuity in construction and offshore installation support. - Experience with drilling operations, completion operations, Christmas trees, Christmas tree controls, umbilicals, manifolds, pipelines, jumpers, and riser systems (rigid and/or flexible) in offshore environments.

Familiarity with rigid/flexible hybrid systems, pigging philosophy development, and pre-commissioning strategy definition.

The candidate is familiar with and has experience in subsea intervention operations (SCM replacements, Flying Lead replacements, paraffin remediation, asphaltene remediation, hydrate remediation, etc.).

Extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria of the discipline.
