We are working with a client to source a Senior Telecommunications Engineer. This is a contract role working on a residential basis. Please see details below.
Title: Senior Telecommunications Engineer
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Qatar Onshore / Office
Working Schedule: 9 hours per day / 5 days a week or as per project requirement
--Experience Required--
Key Job Accountabilities
• Design and selection of telecommunication equipment including digital microwave radio, fibre optic cables (including submarine cables), VSAT systems, auxiliary radios (HF SSB, VHF/UHF, AM, NDB), RACON, trunk radio, PA & Alarm systems, and CCTV systems.
• Apply applicable international codes, standards, and practices such as CCITT, CCIR, ISA, ANSI, AGA, IEC, and related standards.
• Coordinate all telecommunication design and development work for new projects and modifications to existing installations.
• Provide technical support during construction and equipment installation to ensure compliance with approved designs, codes, and standards.
• Provide professional advice on the selection of telecom equipment and materials for new and existing installations.
--Minimum Requirements--
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited University
Experience Required
• 12+ years in Telecoms design engineering with experience in both Onshore & Offshore projects
• Extensive experience in the design of microprocessor-based equipment such as SCADA/DCS, ESD, IPS Fire & Gas Detection, Fire Protection Systems, metering, WHCP, etc.
