SENIOR TENDER ENGINEER

Location: Courcelles, Belgium (Accommodation provided)

Contract Type: Self Employed or Employed options

Contract Length: 12 Months

Department: Commercial / Tendering (Piping and modular builds)

Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview

This role supports tendering and pre-construction activities for large-scale industrial and data centre projects within an EPC environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing tender requirements, developing execution strategies, and producing accurate cost estimates, working closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse tender documentation, specifications, and contractual requirements
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and scope gaps within tender submissions
  • Develop execution strategies and construction methodologies for complex projects
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including labour, materials, subcontracting, and logistics
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors, issuing RFQs and evaluating proposals
  • Support bid strategy development and participate in internal tender reviews
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure aligned project delivery
  • Assist in defining project schedules, resource requirements, and execution planning
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical and commercial tender submissions
  • Attend meetings and support stakeholder communication throughout the tender process

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Tender Engineer or similar role within EPC environments
  • Strong background in industrial projects, particularly piping, mechanical, or industrial construction
  • Experience preparing detailed cost estimates across multiple disciplines
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project execution strategies
  • Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors within tendering processes
  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tenders concurrently
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are beneficial
