Summary
The Site Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining site planning schedules to support overall project delivery. This role ensures that work sequencing, resource allocation, and site logistics are well?integrated with engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Candidates typically have strong practical planning experience on medium to large projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain detailed site planning schedules
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams to update progress and forecast work activities
• Prepare look?ahead schedules, manpower histograms, progress curves, and critical path analysis
• Monitor project milestones and flag potential delays or risks
• Support site management in maintaining efficient workflow and resource allocation
• Review contractor schedules and validate planning assumptions
• Participate in site coordination meetings and present schedule updates and variance explanations
• Assist in developing recovery plans, mitigation strategies, and scenario planning
• Ensure all planning documents are aligned with contract requirements and project execution strategies
• Report weekly and monthly progress to project leadership
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• 5–10 years of experience in site or project planning, in oil & gas projects
• Solid understanding of construction work sequences and multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience preparing detailed progress reports, dashboards, and schedule analytics
• Ability to work closely with site teams and manage planning data in a fast?paced environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
