Job Description - Site Regulatory Engineer 

Responsibilities

? You support consistent implementation and interpretation of regulations.

? You support and monitor the progress of the Vessel Regulatory Matrix with the Shipyard, ensuring all relevant regulations are tracked and adhered to throughout the Project Lifecycle.

? You support all Regulatory demands on site related to Coastal State, Classification Society and Flag Authority Requirements, monitor the implementation and provide guidance on regulatory requirements as needed.

? You follow up and monitor progress of the regulatory activities by the Shipyard and the Shipyard’s Regulatory Consultant.

? You monitor and expedite closure of comments raised by the Classification Society.

? You provide awareness of project personnel on their regulatory responsibilities and deliver awareness sessions to the site team when required.

? You update the deliverables List (Regulatory Authorization Register) and provide reporting.

? You carry out Audits and Inspections according to the Regulatory Management Plans across the locations to verify compliance and ensure proper regulatory management.

? You manage the Regulatory Queries Register, ensuring all queries are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

? You support External Audits (Client and Authorities).

? You communicate effectively and collaborate with all Stakeholders to ensure effective results and compliance with regulations.

? You participate in relevant meetings for regulatory discipline held by shipyard o project team as deemed necessary.

Education

? Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

? Chinese national with Fluent English communication skills (speaking and writing).

Experience

? 5 years of experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry or maritime industry.

? Expertise in Classification Society rules, maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS among others) and knowledge of relevant interfaces.

? Knowledge of vessels design, fabrication, commissioning processes, and project execution standards. Technical background with the ability to understand drawings, and construction processes.

? Knowledge in Brazilian Regulations being a plus.
