SR. INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Airswift is seeking for a SNR INSTRUMENT ENGINEER to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant post?graduate experience, with at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Ability to identify, apply, and utilize relevant Instrumentation Engineering standards and codes.
- Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multi?project environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation Engineering for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with procedures, while considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE requirements.
- Execute Instrumentation Engineering activities and in?house/site surveys from initial concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Ensure all technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental, and safety policies are incorporated and followed throughout project execution.
- Review and assess technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
- Support the Engineering Department in the review, update, and application of standards and amendments to external standards.
- Plan and coordinate the activities of multi?discipline engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of technical services in line with project requirements.
- Coordinate engineering designs and develop, review, and ensure clarity and completeness of multi?disciplinary work scopes.
- Review and approve method statements submitted by contracted organizations and liaise with contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in?house engineering activities and contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling to support effective project delivery.
- Conduct evaluations of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
- Review and evaluate contract changes and variations against approved guidelines and practices.
- Support the development of personal technical competencies as well as those of co?workers.
- Participate in structured training and development programs for Associate Qatari Engineers.
