Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Role Overview
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to deliver civil engineering projects from early development through execution, completion, and handover. The role covers onshore and offshore projects and requires strong leadership, technical coordination, and project management expertise to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
Mandatory
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Master’s degree or higher qualification in engineering or project management.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering or project management institution (e.g., PMP, PMI, ICE, or equivalent).
Experience Requirements
Mandatory
Minimum 12 years of experience in:
- Engineering and project management
- Execution of civil engineering projects
Preferred / Added Advantage
Proven experience in:
Engineering coordination with multidisciplinary teams during:
- Feasibility Studies
- Concept Optimization Studies
- FEED (Front End Engineering Design)
- EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Construction)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and coordinate assigned project teams to deliver full project management services from project inception through completion and handover.
- Manage projects in both onshore and offshore environments in compliance with company standards.
Planning, Cost & Controls
- Prepare, implement, and maintain project execution plans and QHSE plans.
Participate in and monitor:
- Project planning and scheduling
- Cost control and budgeting
- Contract administration
- Progress reporting
- Change management.
- Gate approval processes
Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve technically sound and cost?effective project designs.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical and engineering issues.
Procurement & Tendering
- Participate in the preparation of tender packages.
Support the tendering process, including:
- Technical evaluation of tenders
- Review of contractor submissions
- Preparation of recommendations for Tender Committees
Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Develop, maintain, and update project risk registers, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and managed effectively.
Interface closely with:
- End Users
- Government and statutory authorities
- Joint Venture partners and other third?party stakeholders
Contract Administration & Claims
Participate in the evaluation, processing, and resolution of:
- Project variations
- Contractor claims and disputes
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the review and development of company procedures and guidelines when assigned.
People Development
- Mentor and coach Qatari Developees, ensuring effective on?the?job training and professional development to maximize their potential.
