SSHE Lead III

Join our dynamic team as an SSHE Lead III in the vibrant city of Luanda, Angola! This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, security, health, and environmental compliance on an exciting FPSO project within the oil and gas industry. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our operations while working in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Role Overview

  • Report daily HSE status and progress to the Offshore Area Operations Lead or delegate.

  • Ensure Contractor HSE and work management systems are followed.

  • Participate in onboard Risk Assessments, JSAs, and PTW activities.

  • Verify adherence to approved procedures or initiate MOC when required.

  • Steward implementation of site safety, quality, and emergency response plans.

  • Implement and track field HSE plans.

  • Maintain vessel emergency response readiness.

  • Lead initial HSE response and reporting onboard incidents.

  • Monitor contractor performance and procedure compliance.

  • Assess vessel safety conditions and operational readiness.

  • Review and endorse daily activity and associated reports.

  • Co-endorse Contractor daily reports, including extra work and downtime.

  • Recommend SSH&E improvements or corrective actions.

  • Represent EM in Project related SSH&E matters.

  • Participate in incident investigations as required.

  • Maintain awareness of other QCs' areas of responsibility.

  • Submit a digital copy of the Final Audit & SSH&E Operations Report at the end of the survey.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years geophysical field experience.

  • Knowledge of geophysical acquisition techniques and SSH&E management systems.

  • Experience in SSH&E and vessel auditing, incident investigation, and geophysical equipment operations.

  • Familiarity with Company Risk Assessment procedures and general regulatory requirements.

  • Strong understanding of Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSH&E) standards.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and common email systems.

  • Demonstrated skills in effective communications, interface management, auditing, assessing operations, and problem-solving.

  • Strong communication and safety analytical skills.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Minimum of five years geophysical field experience required.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSH&E) preferred.
