One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Sub-Contracts Administrator to work on a 12 - month assignment in their facilities in North Slope, AK.

Schedule:

Rotational assignment – 2 weeks on/2 weeks off

Requirements:

  • Perform pre-award contract activities, contractor pre-qualification, and interface with engineering/construction, project and client personnel to support the preparation of RFP.
  • Provides feedback to Finance and Commercial Risk (F&CR) to identify and ensure compliance with project specific contract requirements.
  • Bid evaluation and negotiations up to award and contract execution specifically related to lump sum turnkey, EPC contracts for major process units.
  • Organize and prepare presentations, and meetings with contractors and clients.
  • Develops and transmits requests for proposals (RFPs); Manages pre-mobilization process and deliverables. Be proactive with contractors to ensure contract compliance, generation of progress, schedules, daily and other status reports, invoices and supporting documents in a timely manner.
  • Perform close-out of contracts; finalize outstanding contract issues, final invoices and contractor performance evaluations.

Requirement:

  • 6+ years of experience in contracts and procurement, with at least 5 years of experience working in the industrial construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of legal concepts such as offer and acceptance and what constitutes a breach of contract, allowing for the competent management of contract issuance and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, business management, construction, or a related discipline.
  • Develops and negotiates subcontracts and administrates the Subcontract on the project site
  • Required knowledge of contract law, engineering, procurement and construction techniques with strong working knowledge of technical aspects.
  • Required knowledge of industrial construction methods and materials, risk analysis, good analytical skills, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred experience in any of the following construction arenas: Heavy Industrial, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refineries or Power Generation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, computer, and negotiation skills.
