Duration:

6 Months (Extendable for another 6 months, subjected to project necessity)

Location:

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced project manager to lead a complex multi-country technology rollout, involving significant cross-system dependencies, vendor engagement, and business/technical coordination. The role will focus on strengthening delivery discipline, enhancing governance, and ensuring consistent execution across remaining markets.

The successful candidate will bring strong project and program management expertise, with the ability to establish control, improve transparency, and drive delivery outcomes in a complex, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The role will take ownership of integrated delivery planning across in-flight markets, building and managing a single consolidated plan covering country milestones, technical deliverables, business readiness, external dependencies, architecture alignment, and vendor commitments.

  • They will establish robust governance and reporting, including effective RAID management, clear critical path visibility, milestone tracking, and concise, executive-ready reporting to senior stakeholders.

  • A key responsibility will be to manage and coordinate third-party vendor performance, ensuring alignment on delivery commitments, sequencing, and handoffs. This includes improving transparency on dependencies, securing realistic timelines, and proactively managing risks and constraints.

  • They will also help enforce consistent market entry and readiness criteria, ensuring countries progress into committed delivery with sufficient clarity on requirements, ownership, funding, dependencies, and resourcing.

  • The role will support the transition toward a more structured, forward-looking delivery model, strengthening planning discipline, improving predictability, and ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical execution.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in BM & English
  • 8-10 years’ experience leading complex technology projects or programs, ideally across multiple geographies and stakeholders (flexible working hours required)

  • Strong project and program governance discipline, including integrated planning and dependency management

  • Proven experience working in matrixed environments, engaging both business and technology stakeholders

  • Experience managing third-party vendors and external delivery partners

  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to complex or ambiguous delivery environments

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

  • Experience in integrated systems delivery and managing delivery in environments with multiple dependencies is important.
