Overview

We are currently recruiting a Tooling Specialist / Tooling Clerk for an aviation maintenance organisation. This position supports the maintenance lines by ensuring tools are serviceable, calibrated, and available when needed. The role is responsible for day-to-day tooling support, including repairs, tracking, ordering, and coordination with suppliers and maintenance teams to help keep operations running efficiently.

Location-          Perth, WA

Duration-          Permanent, Full-time

Salary-             $90,000 - $110,000 + Super (negotiable)

Hours-              Monday-Friday standard (no shift work)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue requested tools to support maintenance activities and reduce delays.

  • Check that tools are calibrated, compliant, and ready for operational use.

  • Maintain calibration schedules and organise tool servicing as required.

  • Assist with troubleshooting tool-related issues and arrange repairs or replacements where needed.

  • Work with Engineering, Safety, and maintenance teams to support tooling requirements.

  • Manage tool purchasing, inventory tracking, and records through the company’s systems.

  • Maintain tooling registers, certified tool spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.

  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate tooling and parts requirements.

  • Identify practical improvements to tooling processes, efficiency, and cost control.

  • Carry out other duties as required to support maintenance operations.

Required Experience

  • 1–2 years’ experience in tools management / tools store within aviation
  • Exposure to aircraft maintenance environments and an understanding of tooling control processes.
  • Good mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
