Overview

Airswift is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support analytical testing activities focused on the characterization of crude oil and refined products. The successful candidate will perform routine laboratory analyses under the supervision of a scientist, contributing to research and development efforts within the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to deliver accurate results within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, maintain, operate, and clean analytical laboratory equipment.
  • Perform routine analytical tests and experiments to support crude oil and product characterization.
  • Analyze test and experiment results to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Utilize wet preparation techniques and advanced analytical instrumentation, including NMR and GC?MS.
  • Collect, analyze, and accurately record test data.
  • Prepare technical reports using charts, graphs, and written narratives.
  • Handle solvents safely and prepare dilutions as required.
  • Complete routine analyses and tasks in a timely manner as requested by the supervising scientist.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • 2–4 years of commercial analytical laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem?solving abilities.
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Fundamental knowledge of analytical laboratory techniques and data handling.
  • Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Work Schedule

  • 5/40 schedule (five days per week, 40 hours)
  • Fully in?person / laboratory?based
