One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Technical Assistant II to work on a 12-month assignment in their Facilities in Covington, LA.
Summary: The Technical Assistant provides onshore administrative, technical, and planning support to offshore operations, managing SAP work orders, schedules, procurement, invoices, and timesheets while coordinating daily operational needs. The role supports offshore leadership and teams through system training, document control, and proactive coordination in a fast?paced environment.
Responsabilities:
- Onshore position provides technical, planning, & admin support for offshore assets
- Maintains training & vacation schedules
- Updates org charts
- Keeps phone lists
- Processes invoices
- Provides training for business applications (e.g. SAP, Smartbox, Timesheets)
- Procures general supplies
- Orders FRCs
- Aids with timesheets
- Role schedules, closes work orders, and coordinates with catering staff
- Attends & plans meetings
- Provides backup support and other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of offshore environment, assets, and organization.
- Proactively anticipate needs of offshore leadership and teams.
- Ability to work independently; Limited coaching/supervisor review required.
- Ability to manage limited analytical assignments such as tracking OPEX.
- Ability to schedule SAP maintenance tasks and close out work orders.
- Competent /Fluent in MS office suite
- Skilled in SAP, Helipass, & Smartbox.
- Previous offshore planner/scheduler experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, thorough record keeping, and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and effectively manage change.
- Proven record of managing multiple tasks and delivering timely results.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Travel including offshore maybe required.
- Must complete HUET & FFD requirements.
