Join the MARSA LNG Project as a Vendor Performance Coordinator, where your expertise will ensure full compliance, continuous improvement, and seamless execution of all Vendor Performance Management activities across assigned Purchase Orders.
Role Overview
• Define expediting and inspection levels based on the project’s Criticality Analysis.
• Perform, coordinate, and take accountability for all Vendor Performance Management activities, including shop expediting and inspection for assigned Purchase Orders.
• Ensure that all supplies comply with contractual requirements throughout Purchase Order execution, including adherence to execution plans, delivery schedules, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Ensure timely availability and maturity of all documentation required for VPM activities to prevent disruptions.
• Maintain and update VPM IT tools, ensuring accuracy and progress validation.
• Analyze supplier information and documentation, monitor Purchase Order execution, and share key insights, risks, and concerns with the project team.
• Ensure supplier production schedules are issued on time and fully cover all engineering, manufacturing, testing, and delivery activities.
• Identify potential risks affecting delivery dates or quality, perform necessary verifications, coordinate mitigation or recovery plans, and ensure implementation until full resolution.
• Review VPM deliverables such as Pre Inspection Meeting Reports, Pre Fabrication Meeting Reports, Expediting Reports, Inspection Reports, and Inspection Release Notes prior to distribution.
• Anticipate VPM related risks and alert the VPM Manager regarding any potential schedule or quality impacts.
• Coach and train other VPM coordinators when required.
• Contribute to performance evaluations of suppliers and Inspection Agencies.
• Manage interfaces with Project, Client, and Supplier as the single point of accountability for relevant Purchase Orders.
• Issue assignment requests, Purchase Orders, and requisitions for Shop Expeditors and Inspectors in collaboration with Resource Management, coordinating their activities and reporting findings to the project team.
• Organize and attend VPM related meetings, including Pre Inspection and Hand Over, ensuring all prerequisites are met.
• Prepare reports and KPIs for VPM activities and monitor man hours for assigned Purchase Orders.
Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in inspection, quality, engineering, manufacturing, supplier development, supplier quality, or project management.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience in areas such as PVHE, packaged equipment, piping and valves, electrical and instrumentation, or long lead items.
• Experience with Material Management Systems such as Smart Material Intergraph.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong problem solving skills within the functional area and understanding of the broader project impact.
• Strong presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, general Engineering, or Business and Management.
• Extensive background in multidiscipline vendor performance, engineering, supplier management, and inspection environments.
