Our client is an established company in the fields of measuring, positioning and control based in Germany with subsidiaries in Liechtenstein and the United States of America.
The company’s American subsidiary was relatively small, consisting of fewer than 10 employees. The opportunity arose to further penetrate the market and hire a VP of Sales & Marketing. They were not visible to the American market, and the internal recruitment was rudimentary and only consisted of digital advertising on their own website. After two years of engaging with multiple recruitment companies to little success, they partnered with Airswift for specialised recruiters with American market knowledge.
Airswift provided a comprehensive engaged search model that provided our client with full visibility of candidates from a range of targeted competitors. Additionally, Airswift was asked to look outside the targeted companies to identify candidates with directly relevant or transferrable skillsets. Airswift appointed a recruitment consultant specialising in sensors and process electronics to accurately assess candidates technical ability and industry knowledge as well as other potential competitors to target.
Despite two other recruitment partners failing to source a single relevant candidate, Airswift successfully identified and interviewed several suitable candidates to allow our client to choose the final candidate.
