Sustainability is an increasingly frequent theme in society and goes far beyond a concept. For Airswift, sustainability is the way to the future. It is action! That's why we encourage and promote initiatives in the economic, environmental, and social fields in our more than 60 offices worldwide.
We are committed to finding ways to reduce the impact of our work and recognize that all individuals, clients, and suppliers play a key role in reducing environmental impacts. The migration to a low carbon economy and more sustainable business models is no longer a choice but a requirement in large companies.
After all, sustainable development is good for the planet, good for people, and good for business. Because of that, we are excited to announce the next steps in our sustainability journey.
Historically, Airswift has evolved with the energy industry. Our goal is to continue this evolution as sustainability becomes more important to the planet and the future of energy. We operate our facilities with the necessary permits, approvals, laws, and regulations and continue to learn more and better ways to go beyond compliance.
We proactively take steps to reduce our carbon footprints, such as projects of waste reduction, energy consumption, and travel requirements.
Airswift Earth Week is a week-long global event centred around Earth Day that aims to promote and support our commitment to sustainability. During Earth Week, we pledge hours towards educating ourselves and volunteering in our communities.
Beyond investment, we also offer our time and hands to worthwhile projects like food banks, blood drives, fundraisers, hospitals, cancer care facilities, higher learning, and more.
Relay For Life
Airswift supports Relay For Life, the world’s largest fundraising event and movement to fight every cancer in every community. We are passionate about this cause and our goal is to promote cancer research and education and raise funds for various cancer societies around the world.
Last year, we launched the ‘I hope for…’ campaign to help employees visualize the impact they could have in the fight against cancer. More than 40 relay events took place over four months, including a triathlon in the UK, a dance-a-thon in Houston, and a half marathon in Singapore.
In 2020, Airswfit supported the opened The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Houston, which offers 64 guest rooms located near treatment centres in the area. This program provides a free home for cancer patients and their caregivers who have permanently resided more than 40 miles away from their cancer treatment centre.
