Role Overview
A Senior Engineer (HVAC) is responsible for the design, execution, and coordination of HVAC engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engineering designs in accordance with project specifications, international codes, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Select appropriate engineering methods, procedures, and technical solutions to optimize project outcomes.
- Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and technical evaluations to support design development and project execution.
- Deliver assigned scope of work within agreed schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Ensure effective management of system interfaces and coordination across disciplines.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with contractual obligations and internal project requirements.
- Apply lessons learned and assess the impact of design changes across project systems and interfaces.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders throughout engineering, procurement, and manufacturing activities.
- Act as Package Engineer when assigned, taking responsibility for package design, procurement, manufacturing, and technical follow-up.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Support or act as Discipline Lead for assigned project scopes where required.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical discussions to ensure safe and efficient solutions.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO, or Chemical industry.
- Experience in HVAC system design and engineering is a plus.
- Proven track record in delivering engineering scopes on complex projects.
