About the Role:
The role is responsible for ensuring employees, contractors, and visitors work in a safe, secure, and environmentally responsible manner while ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, client expectations, and project-specific HSSE requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving HSSE excellence, promoting a proactive safety culture, and providing subject matter expertise in Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, and Scaffolding activities.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in accident and incident investigations related to:
- Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding
- Analyse accident and incident statistics, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical HSSE support and advice to management on safety-related matters.
- Conduct internal safety training programmes related to:
- Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding
- Perform HSSE audits and inspections on subcontractors, particularly for high-risk activities.
- Participate in Hazard Identification (HAZID) workshops prior to construction and installation activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Prepare Health, Safety, Security and Environmental documentation for tender submissions and project execution.
- Provide HSSE support during project start-up phases, including the development and implementation of site procedures, plans, and safe work practices.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Additional professional qualifications in HSSE and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
- Relevant certifications in:
- Permit-to-Work (PTW), Rigging & Lifting, Scaffolding
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) and Fire Services within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience supporting Offshore Hook-Up & Commissioning (HUC) activities.
- Previous experience in construction site HSSE leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of:
