Job Title: 23811 - Electrical Engineer
Duration: Jan 2027 - May 2028
Schedule: 5 days' work per week, 8 hours per day excluding 1 hour lunch break
Location: Qidong, China (Shipyard based - COSCO)
Open to China local candidates only (Chinese nationality is required)
This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to electrical engineering design and delivery within the oil and gas sector. The role focuses on developing reliable, cost-effective and safe engineering solutions, supporting project execution through detailed design, system interfaces, technical documentation and vendor coordination. This position will suit candidates with strong knowledge of electrical systems, engineering calculations and international standards including IEC and IEEE.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognised university or college
Required Experience:
- 0 to 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Experience supporting engineering design and deliverables within project time frames
- Experience coordinating with engineers, designers, vendors, subcontractors and third parties on technical scope delivery
Required Skills:
- Good engineering knowledge in electrical systems
- Ability to prepare electrical engineering deliverables including philosophy documents, specifications, datasheets, reports, calculations and technical bid evaluation reports
- Knowledge of international codes, company standards, industry standards and regulations including IEC, IEEE, classification societies and local regulations
- Understanding of system interfaces and change impact across project system boundaries
- Capability in engineering design and calculation tools, concept development, detailed design, systems engineering, package engineering and manufacturing, reliability, operability and safety, site engineering and electrical analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of integrated database software such as AVEVA E&I
