Job Title: 23912 - Commissioning Mechanical Supervisor
Duration: ASAP - August 2028
Schedule: 5 days' work per week, 8 hours per day excluding 1 hour lunch break
Location: Nantong, China (Shipyard based - CMHI)
Open to China local candidates only (Chinese nationality is required)
This opportunity is suited to a technical professional with strong construction and commissioning expertise in the mechanical discipline. The role focuses on supervising site activities, coordinating daily interfaces with the site team, and ensuring work is delivered in line with HSSE, quality, and project schedule requirements. This position offers the chance to contribute to inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring activities while supporting effective handovers and disciplined site execution.
Required Education:
- At least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of construction and commissioning management processes within the relevant mechanical discipline
- Experience supervising daily site operations, including workforce management, material handling, and equipment usage
- Experience coordinating with construction and commissioning teams, project management, and stakeholders to resolve site issues and support handovers
Required Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents
- Mechanical static equipment inspection, testing, commissioning, and monitoring
- Mechanical rotating equipment technical understanding
- Construction, commissioning, and quality strategy knowledge
- HSSE, quality, regulatory, and process safety awareness
- Leadership and team coordination capability
- Risk management and planning
- Technical understanding of design and execution
- Third-party relationship management
- Ability to assess the impact of changes to construction and commissioning plans or scope
- Reporting capability, including preparation of updates on achievements, challenges, and recommendations
