The Project
As part of major offshore and subsea developments, you will contribute to engineering studies supporting the transportation and installation of offshore structures, subsea equipment, pipelines, and heavy lifting operations.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you will be responsible for performing installation analyses and developing technical solutions to ensure the safe and efficient execution of offshore operations. The role involves close collaboration with structural, naval, subsea, and project engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
The Position
As an Installation Analysis Engineer, you will perform engineering analyses and simulations supporting offshore transportation and installation activities. You will develop methodologies, validate installation scenarios, and provide technical recommendations to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and operational constraints.
You will play a key role in assessing installation feasibility, structural integrity, environmental limitations, and operational risks associated with complex offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities
Offshore Installation Analysis
- Perform installation analyses for offshore structures, subsea equipment, and pipelines.
- Develop and validate installation methodologies for offshore operations.
- Conduct static and dynamic analyses during transportation, lifting, and installation phases.
- Verify structural integrity throughout installation operations.
- Assess operational risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
Pipeline & Subsea Installation Studies
- Perform installation studies for pipeline laying operations (S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel-Lay).
- Analyze pipeline stresses, bending moments, and installation loads.
- Evaluate seabed interaction and installation feasibility.
- Support subsea engineering activities for deepwater and shallow water projects.
- Review installation procedures and operational sequences.
Heavy Lift & Marine Operations
- Analyze lifting operations and heavy load handling scenarios.
- Assess crane capacities, rigging configurations, lifting points, and spreader arrangements.
- Verify equipment utilization limits during offshore operations.
- Support transportation and load-out engineering studies.
- Participate in planning and execution reviews for marine operations.
Hydrodynamic & Environmental Assessment
- Evaluate the impact of environmental conditions on offshore operations.
- Define operational weather criteria, including wave, wind, and current limitations.
- Perform hydrodynamic analyses for installation campaigns.
- Assess vessel motions and their impact on installation activities.
- Contribute to risk assessments related to metocean conditions.
Technical Documentation & Engineering Deliverables
- Prepare engineering reports and calculation notes.
- Develop installation procedures and method statements.
- Produce technical specifications and design assumptions.
- Participate in engineering reviews and client presentations.
- Ensure quality and consistency of engineering deliverables.

Profile Required
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore installation engineering or structural analysis.
- Proven experience within Offshore Oil & Gas, Subsea, Marine, or Offshore Wind projects.
- Experience with transportation and installation (T&I) studies.
- Strong understanding of offshore operations and heavy lifting activities.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation methodologies.
- Experience with pipeline installation analysis.
- Proficiency in OrcaFlex or equivalent offshore simulation software.
- Solid understanding of finite element analysis (FEA).
- Knowledge of hydrodynamics and marine engineering principles.
- Familiarity with offshore structures and subsea systems.
- Understanding of transportation, lifting, and installation constraints.
