Job Title: Accountant Officer
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
This opportunity sits within a global offshore energy business with established expertise in floating production, mooring systems, production operations, and terminals and services. The role focuses on accounting, IFRS reporting, tax support, treasury-related activities, monthly close, financial statements, audit coordination, and internal control processes. This position offers exposure to both local and international entities, supporting accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement across core finance operations.
Required Education:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
Required Experience:
- 0–5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience supporting accounting activities for local and/or international entities
- General understanding of audit processes and internal control principles
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of IFRS and finance fundamentals
- Ability to perform monthly closing activities and support balance sheet analysis
- Experience preparing financial statements, audit packages, and tax reporting support
- Bookkeeping and transaction processing capability
- Invoice management and P2P support process and vendor management knowledge
- Risk and internal control awareness
- Analytics and reporting capability
- Tax knowledge
- Master data set-up and interface understanding
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Analytical skills, critical thinking, stakeholder focus, and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure
