Airswift is seeking an Analytical Scientist to work in one of their facilities in Piscataway, NJ for a 6-month assignment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct method development for customer and internal projects.
  • Conduct analysis of samples for customer projects and internal research projects.
  • Write technical reports for analytical methods and maintain detailed organized records of all methods developed.
  • Create and make presentations of work.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot for customer analytical projects in the lab primarily with EUDRAGIT® polymers and solid dosage forms.
  • Operate HPLC (assay, related substances, degradants), dissolution (USP, UV Varian and Fiber Optic), content uniformity, DSC, optical microscopy, SEM and IR Spectrophotometer.
  • Keep analytical lab and all analytical equipment/instruments clean and tidy.
  • Contact outside vendors and order necessary supplies for the lab to ensure availability of raw materials for smooth operations.
  • Perform & coordinate industrial hygiene programs to ensure compliance to applicable exposure limits for potent compounds and other industrial hazardous agents.
  • Increase the awareness of safety through various communication tools for team by Representing EHS on committee, site safety meeting.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and standards for Safety and Industrial Hygiene.
  • Receive, store, dispense, ship and maintain records of controlled substances (CII-C IV).
  • Procure, prepare, maintain, ship and order DEA 222 form.
  • Maintain record and renew state and federal DEA licenses.
  • Coordinate controlled substance destruction with Reverse Distributor.
  • Receive, log-in and control inventory of DEA related API’s, excipients, reference standards and raw materials.
  • Communicate with local and federal DEA officials as needed.
  • Perform and keep records of the quarterly security systems check for CDS cage and safe.
  • Ensure proper security controls are in place for shipping and receiving controlled drugs.
  • To perform any other duties assigned by manager and/or supervisor.
  • Employee in this position may be required to handle and manage of hazardous waste and will be trained initially and annually thereafter on hazardous waste management and emergency response.
