This opportunity supports critical analyzer, metering, and emissions monitoring systems within an LNG facility environment. The role is focused on maintaining accurate process measurement, supporting custody transfer performance, and ensuring reliable operation of gas chromatographs, ABB analytical instrumentation, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems. This position offers exposure to field maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and cross-functional support across plant operations, controls, and measurement activities.

Required Education:

  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation and Control, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Process Instrumentation, or a related discipline

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting ABB process analyzers and gas chromatographs, including sample conditioning systems and analyzer validation
  • Practical experience with natural gas custody transfer metering, including ultrasonic or orifice flow meters, flow computers, gas chromatographs, meter proving, and measurement accuracy requirements
  • Experience maintaining and calibrating Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems, including zero and span checks, analyzer fault diagnosis, and emissions compliance support
  • Previous experience in an LNG facility, natural gas processing plant, gas pipeline, refinery, or petrochemical facility
  • Typically 3–7 years of relevant instrumentation, analyzer, or metering experience
  • Experience supporting commissioning, startup, shutdown, and maintenance activities

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of gas chromatographs, infrared analyzers, oxygen analyzers, moisture analyzers, and associated sample conditioning systems
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of custody transfer and fiscal metering systems, including flow meters, pressure and temperature transmitters, and flow computers
  • Ability to support LNG measurement systems, including level measurement, density measurement, and associated instrumentation
  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair of emissions monitoring equipment, including extractive or in-situ monitoring systems, heated sample lines, and calibration gas systems
  • Troubleshooting of 4–20 mA, HART, Modbus, and other industrial communication signals
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, instrument data sheets, and technical manuals
  • Experience conducting loop checks, signal verification, functional testing, and instrument commissioning activities
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability with attention to calibration integrity, measurement accuracy, and technical documentation
  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to process safety, environmental compliance, permit-to-work procedures, and lockout/tagout practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with analyzer platforms in addition to ABB
  • Relevant manufacturer training, analyzer certifications, metering training, or instrumentation qualifications
  • Familiarity with applicable AGA, API, GPA, ISO, and environmental regulatory requirements
