Activities
The job holder will follow-up SAPL Contractor activities and will ensure the SAPL is engineered, fabricated, integrated delivered and tested in due time, ready for installation as per project planning,
The job holders must possess strong experience designing offshore subsea production systems to ensure its safe and optimum project delivery as well as reliable operation.
Performing all duties in line with Company procedures.
Ensure high quality of all deliverables from Concept, Basic engineering, Detailed Engineering / Qualification / Manufacturing / Fabrication / Construction / Installation / Pre-Commissioning activities performed by Contractor, whilst respecting local content requirement.
Identify and solve technical issues relating to the Automated Subsea Pig Launcher package that may arise during all activities of the Project.
Ensure the prompt and efficient dispatch, review and approval of all Detailed Engineering / Qualification / Manufacturing / Fabrication / Construction / Installation / Pre-Commissioning documents issued by Automated Subsea Pig Launcher Contractor, in due time, ensuring the adequate level of priority is given.
Able to lead the designing and developing of the ASPL system in compliance with industry standards and client requirements
Able to review calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the integrity and reliability of subsea equipment.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise subsea system delivery, installation and operational performance.
Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
Responsible for the technical coordination of discipline work-scopes that cover the function and design of all parts of the ASPL system.
Apply a system level view and decision making to the following typical activities:
PFDs, schematics, block diagrams, field layout.
Production assurance/flow assurance.
Reliability/availability modelling.
Inspection, maintenance, monitoring and repair considering the routine interventions that will be required to re-load the pig launcher
Testing and commissioning philosophies.
Material selection, coatings and CP.
Process safety, protection and risk management.
Identify, evaluate and manage the key system technical risks, seeking mitigations where possible and populating the risk registers ensuring critical, high consequence risk items are escalated.
Liaise with Project QHSES, QAQC, to ensure that the ASPL scope is designed to be safe, operable, and maintainable.
Assist QA/QC manager for all quality issues related to ASPL engineering.
Monitor Contractor performance against engineering aspects of the Contract and to assist the offshore Package Manager / PCM in management of associated Change Order Requests.
To initiate and attend all ASPL engineering meetings, routine and subject specific, to pursuit Contractor’s resolution and close-out of documents.
Ensure that agreed project battery limits are adhered to.
Accountabilities
Shall implement and maintain an effective offshore interface management process aligned with COMPANY governance and the New PRODOM IMS (IR/ITS), ensuring traceability and auditable closeout.
Shall ensure offshore battery limits are defined, controlled and consistently applied, with clear physical/functional tie points and agreed acceptance/testing requirements at each boundary.
Shall ensure timely resolution of offshore interface issues and escalate unresolved conflicts or schedule threats to the Interface Manager with recommended corrective actions.
Shall ensure offshore interface deliverables and records are complete, accurate and issued on time (incl. MoM, decision log, interface deliverables, as-built updates, test evidence).
Shall ensure third-party impacts relevant to offshore delivery are managed through the COMPANY Third Party Interface Lead, and that contractors do not engage third parties directly outside approved governance.
Shall promote HSSE leadership and ensure interface decisions do not introduce HSE or integrity risks; shall flag and escalate any unsafe or non-compliant interface condition.
Shall identify, assess and manage offshore interface-related risks in accordance with the Project Risk Management procedure, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
Shall ensure alignment between Interface Management System (ITS/ITR) and Risk Register, so that all critical interface issues are properly captured as risks and monitored to closure.
Qualifications/Experience required
Minimum Education: Engineer/ Master Civil Engineering degree or other relevant and recognized qualification, have a Systems Engineering or Engineering Management background, including detailed knowledge of subsea systems and a minimum of 15yrs+ experience of working in subsea projects and proven experience in major oil and gas project, in Offshore large project.
Proven Major Oil and Gas project developments knowledge and experience.
Prior experience in Design Leadership / Project Management
15+ years’ experience in one or more of the following packages:
Subsea Engineering.
Project Engineering.
Hardware package delivery (Systems, Tree’s, Controls, Pipelines, Manifolds etc.).
Installation experience
Experience with subsea structure design and subsea operational pigging
In-depth knowledge of subsea engineering and the relevant best practices, codes & standards
Familiar with Marine Operations using Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
Past experience in Caspian Sea is a plus.
Client experience is added advantage.
