Airswift is currently recruiting for an experienced ASPL Package Lead to support a major offshore gas development project in the Caspian Sea. This position will play a critical role in the delivery of the Automated Subsea Pig Launcher (ASPL) Package, ensuring engineering, fabrication, testing, integration, and readiness for offshore installation are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle and act as the focal point for all matters related to the ASPL package, working closely with contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the engineering, qualification, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, installation, and pre-commissioning activities associated with the ASPL package.
Manage contractor performance to ensure delivery of package milestones in line with project schedule and quality requirements.
Review and approve engineering documentation, calculations, analyses, and technical deliverables.
Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client specifications during all project phases.
Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical challenges related to subsea production systems and pig launcher operations.
Lead technical coordination activities covering all aspects of ASPL design and functionality.
Perform system-level reviews including:
Production and flow assurance
Reliability and availability assessments
Material selection, coatings, and cathodic protection
Inspection, maintenance, monitoring, and repair philosophies
Testing and commissioning strategies
Process safety and risk management
Conduct technical risk assessments and ensure mitigation plans are implemented and tracked through project risk registers.
Collaborate with QA/QC, HSE, operations, installation, and engineering teams to ensure the package is safe, operable, and maintainable.
Lead interface management activities, ensuring alignment between contractors and project stakeholders.
Support change management processes and provide recommendations regarding technical and commercial impacts.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore oil and gas developments with strong subsea engineering expertise.
Demonstrated experience delivering major offshore subsea projects from concept through execution.
Previous experience in engineering leadership, package management, or project engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of one or more of the following:

Pipelines
Manifolds
Offshore Installation Activities
Experience with subsea structures and operational pigging systems.
Good understanding of subsea engineering standards, industry codes, and best practices.
Familiarity with marine operations and ROV-supported offshore activities.
Previous Caspian Sea project experience is advantageous.
Previous experience with TotalEnergies projects would be highly desirable.
Language Requirements
Fluent English is essential.
Azerbaijani language skills would be advantageous.
