We are seeking a solution-oriented Data/BI Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team, reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager. The role's primary focus is backend development and support across our Oracle Fusion Cloud landscape — particularly ODI ETL development, OBIEE/RPD, and scripting — ensuring stable, reliable data pipelines.
This role is critical to ensuring that Finance, HCM, SCM and OTM business teams receive accurate, timely, and reliable data. The successful candidate will maintain and troubleshoot ETL and BI processes, support data integrations, and work closely with stakeholders to validate data accuracy, resolve recurring issues, and deliver stable, permanent fixes rather than temporary workarounds. JOB OUTPUTS & REQUIREMENTS:
The Data engineer will be responsible for:

Developing, maintaining, and enhancing ODI ETL processes to support reporting and integration needs.

Supporting and improving OBIEE solutions, including RPD development, issue resolution, and deployments.
•
Working with Linux terminal operations, Vim editing, and XML file troubleshooting in ODI environments.
•
Applying Data Warehouse architecture principles, including Star modelling and ETL design, to support scalable BI solutions.
•
Optimizing and resolving issues related to SQL queries and reporting performance.
•
Investigating recurring issues and delivering permanent fixes to prevent rework, rather than temporary workarounds.
•
Monitoring scheduled ETL/report jobs and data refreshes, proactively identifying and resolving failures or data delays.
•
Collaborating with business users, functional consultants, and external partners to gather requirements and validate data quality.
•
Documenting technical specifications, data mappings, and support procedures to build a sustainable knowledge base for the team.

Exposure to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), including subject areas, dashboards, and pipelines.
•
Familiarity with BI Publisher (BIP) reports, RTF/XML templates, and OTBI. REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Experience as a Data Engineer or BI Developer with data warehousing expertise, ideally on a global scale.

Strong knowledge of ODI, OBIEE/RPD, SQL, and familiarity with Linux.

Excellent SQL and ETL development skills, including query writing, tuning, and troubleshooting performance issues.

? Familiarity with OTBI or similar Fusion reporting tools. EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
?
At least 4–5 years of relevant BI development/support experience, ideally within an Oracle Fusion Cloud environment, spanning ETL development, semantic-layer/OBIEE work, and reporting.
?
Oracle certifications related to Fusion Analytics, FDI, or BI Publisher are desirable but not mandatory.
? Solid understanding of reporting frameworks, data validation practices, and enterprise reporting in a global organisation.
