Job Title: CAJP0019 - Project Engineer (Electrical)
Schedule: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Location: Port Klang (Office / site based)

This opportunity offers the chance to support a brownfield development project in Port Klang, with a focus on electrical engineering, project execution, construction support, and commissioning readiness. The role will work across design review, technical coordination, contractor interface, and project controls, helping deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes in an industrial environment. This position is well suited to candidates with strong experience in power distribution, switchgear, MCC systems, earthing, HSSE leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design, construction, maintenance, or project execution
  • Experience working within manufacturing, oil and gas, lubricants, chemical, or similar industrial environments
  • Experience supporting brownfield project planning and execution
  • Experience in construction support, testing, commissioning readiness, and contractor supervision
  • Experience managing risk, change, progress tracking, and project delivery coordination

Required Skills:

  • Electrical engineering design review and engineering design coordination
  • Power distribution and substation interface knowledge
  • Experience with switchgear, motor control centres, cabling, earthing, and electrical protection coordination
  • Electrical construction and commissioning support
  • Project planning, progress tracking, cost control, schedule management, and change control
  • HSSE leadership and electrical safety awareness
  • Contractor and consultant management
  • Procurement support and technical bid evaluation
  • Stakeholder engagement, governance reporting, problem solving, and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of international electrical codes and local regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience with substations, hazardous area considerations, and electrical safety requirements
  • Project management qualification or demonstrable project delivery experience
  • Knowledge of relevant engineering standards
