Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cathodic Protection Coordinator to support a major pipeline construction project in Northern Germany.
The position will act as the central coordination and communication point between the pipeline construction team and the subcontractor responsible for cathodic protection (CP) activities.
The successful candidate will ensure that CP activities are effectively integrated into the overall construction schedule while meeting project, quality, regulatory, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for cathodic protection activities.
- Coordinate activities between the construction team and CP subcontractor.
- Ensure CP works are planned and executed in line with overall pipeline construction progress.
- Support the construction team in managing technical and operational interfaces.
- Monitor CP activities and identify potential issues, delays, or conflicts.
- Escalate technical or scheduling concerns when required.
- Participate in project coordination and progress meetings.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant project procedures, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Support the preparation and review of technical documentation and as-built records.
- Visit the nearby project site as required to monitor activities and coordinate with site teams.
Education & Certifications
- EN 15257 Level 3 certification is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license.
Professional Experience
- Previous experience working on pipeline, oil & gas, or linear infrastructure projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of cathodic protection systems and activities.
- Previous experience in positions such as:
- Cathodic Protection Supervisor
- CP Coordinator
- Senior CP Technician
- CP Assistant
- Experience coordinating between construction teams and specialist subcontractors.
- Experience working within international or multicultural construction environments would be an advantage.
Languages
- Good working knowledge of English or German, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of both English and German would be an advantage.
