This opportunity is suited to a highly experienced civil/structural engineering professional supporting nuclear plant engineering and modification activities. The role focuses on structural analysis, engineering evaluations, seismic assessments, and design change work within a regulated plant environment. This position offers the chance to contribute to critical civil and structural deliverables that support plant safety, compliance, and long-term operational performance.

Required Experience:

  • Experience performing civil/structural engineering, design engineering, or modification engineering in a commercial nuclear plant environment.

  • Strong background in the design, analysis, modification, and maintenance of nuclear plant civil and structural systems.

  • Experience supporting engineering changes involving structural modifications, equipment installations, anchorage evaluations, seismic analyses, piping analysis, concrete and steel structure modifications, operability evaluations, and field implementation.

  • Experience producing and/or reviewing engineering change documents, engineering evaluations, civil/structural calculations, procurement specifications, structural analysis reports, bills of materials, and supporting design and licensing documentation.

  • Ability to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision and contribute effectively as part of a team.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, configuration management, equipment qualification, design basis requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards.

  • Ability to perform engineering evaluations, calculations, structural analyses, field walkdowns, procurement engineering support, and modification design activities.

  • Ability to read and interpret plant drawings and technical documents, including structural drawings, rebar drawings, concrete details, site drawings, foundation drawings, piping and equipment support drawings, vendor documents, calculations, and specifications.

  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, structural steel, equipment foundations, seismic evaluations, masonry structures, underground structures, anchorage systems, structural supports, and site civil infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with nuclear plant engineering programmes and engineering change processes.

  • Self-motivation, flexibility, and personal accountability for assigned work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Standard Design Process.

  • Experience with engineering processes and procedures used in nuclear plant environments.

  • Familiarity with ACI 349, ACI 318, AISC N690, ASCE 4, ASCE 43, ASME Section III, and related nuclear industry requirements.

  • Preparation of engineering changes.

  • Design verification capability.

  • Experience preparing or revising calculations.

  • Experience preparing or revising procurement specifications or technical requirements documents.

  • Applicability determination preparation experience.

  • 50.59 screening experience.
