Commercial Contracting Specialist

Position Overview
This opportunity offers the chance to support complex commercial and contracting activity across strategic industrial and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on commercial strategy, contract development, procurement support, and stakeholder coordination, helping to progress BOO, BOOT, and other third-party project opportunities. This position would suit a hands-on commercial professional with strong experience in contracts, procurement, and commercial analysis within a technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of commercial strategies aligned to business objectives.
Assist with structuring commercial models, service arrangements, and long-term agreements.
Support the preparation, review, and administration of commercial agreements from NDA through to contract award.
Assist with contract drafting, negotiation planning, and issue tracking.
Help ensure commercial terms, pricing logic, and risk allocation are clearly captured.
Prepare reports, summaries, and supporting materials for management review.
Support RFIs, RFPs, bid clarifications, and commercial evaluations.
Assist in comparing proposals and commercial assumptions.
Coordinate with third parties, developers, and advisers to maintain progress on deliverables.
Support commercial evaluations, financial comparisons, and business case inputs.
Assist with tracking key commercial actions, obligations, and performance items.
Maintain organised records of bids, agreements, approvals, and negotiation status.
Coordinate closely with legal, contracting, manufacturing, technical, and project execution teams on deliverables and reviews.
Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to maintain progress across workstreams.
Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and executive materials as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law or related discipline.
- Proven experience in commercial, contracts, procurement or project support.
Strong experience supporting commercial strategy, contract development, and procurement activity.
Ability to support bid processes, including RFIs, RFPs, bid clarifications, and commercial evaluations.
Experience contributing to commercial analysis, financial comparisons, and business case inputs.
Strong coordination skills with the ability to work across legal, contracting, manufacturing, technical, and project execution teams.
Exposure to BOO, BOOT, or infrastructure and industrial projects (Preferred).
Experience with major refinery, energy, or industrial project environments (Preferred).
