Job Title: Mechanical Technician I or II - Compressor Mechanic
Duration: Initially 1 year with possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Midkiff, TX
This opportunity supports the maintenance and operation of compressor packages in a field-based environment, with responsibility for planned maintenance, diagnostics and equipment reliability. The role offers hands-on work across motor compressors and related mechanical systems, with exposure to troubleshooting, safety-critical operations and maintenance planning. This position will suit candidates with compressor maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment such as Waukesha, Ariel and Caterpillar units.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Experience supporting the maintenance of compressors and compressor packages in an operational field environment
- At least 1 year of compression process, production and equipment-related experience and/or training
- Entry-level diagnostic and repair capability across mechanical equipment
- Experience planning and organising preventive maintenance and other maintenance activities
Required Skills:
- Must live within 50-mile radius from Midkiff, TX
- Knowledge of gas processes and the mechanics of motor compressors, including equipment such as Waukesha, Ariel and Caterpillar
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of relevant safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Mechanical aptitude, analytical capability and problem-solving ability
- Effective teamwork and communication, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold, operate around high-noise environments and use required PPE
- Ability to inspect and repair equipment in different physical positions, including climbing ladders and working in tight or confined spaces
Required Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- OEM, Trade School or comparable work experience in a related field or industry
- Engine experience with Waukesha equipment
- Compressor experience with Ariel equipment
