Job Title: Compressor Operator I, II, III
Duration: 1 year initially with possibility of extension
Schedule: 10/4 rotation - 10 days on, 4 days off
Location: Midland, TX
This opportunity focuses on the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of gas compression systems across a regional production area. The role supports safe and efficient field operations through troubleshooting, contractor coordination, outage reporting, and compliance activities. This position offers exposure to compressor operations, facility maintenance, remote monitoring, and field-based operational support.
Required Experience:
- Experience supporting daily operations, maintenance, and repair activities for gas compression systems and associated facilities.
- Experience troubleshooting field issues both on-site and through remote monitoring environments.
- Experience coordinating repair activity, downtime reporting, and extended outage tracking.
- Experience overseeing contractor work in an operational field environment with a strong focus on safe execution.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of compressor operations, diagnostics, and facility maintenance.
- Ability to perform daily compressor and facility operations in a production environment.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate compressor repairs effectively.
- Ability to audit job safety analyses and monitor adherence to company safety policies.
- Experience carrying out inspections, purging, and LDAR activities.
- Ability to use work platforms to create and assign vendor work requests.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with Foremen, Operators, Mechanics, and contractors.
- Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms and reporting systems.
- Skilled in compressor operations, diagnostics, and facility maintenance.
