Construction Methods Engineer

Duration: 1 years renewable
Location: Onshore Angola with Offshore missions
Start date: ASAP
Schedule: 9x3 weeks rotation schedule 

An opportunity exists for a Construction Methods Engineer to support construction planning, engineering, and execution activities within a technically demanding project environment. Construction Methods Engineer will contribute practical construction expertise to help shape efficient, safe, and high-quality delivery.

Role Context

This position sits within a construction and commissioning environment where technical judgement, constructability awareness, and structured problem-solving are essential. The Construction Methods Engineer will support the application of construction techniques, materials, and HSSE regulations across project delivery.

About the Role

The Construction Methods Engineer is responsible for developing and improving construction methods that align with project requirements and support efficient execution. This role contributes to technical decision-making, helps resolve construction challenges, and supports continuous improvement through lessons learned and methods development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver construction methodologies tailored to project requirements, materials, site conditions, and schedule.
  • Address and resolve construction challenges by applying constructability principle to identify effective solutions.
  • Provide solid technical expertise on construction techniques to the project / site team and support best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of construction methods, changes, outcomes and Lessons Learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to department improvement program through cross analyses, workshops, reporting and Construction Methods standards development.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and HSSE regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
