Construction Methods Engineer

Duration: 12 months 
Location: Onshore - Luanda, Angola
Rotation: 9 weeks on X 3 weeks off
Start date: Ideally September 2026

Position Overview

This opportunity is for a Construction Methods Engineer to support the planning, engineering and execution of construction projects by implementing and optimising construction methods, standards and best practices. The role offers the chance to make a direct impact on efficiency, quality and safety across project delivery. This position would suit a technically capable Construction Methods Engineer who brings strong analytical ability, practical construction knowledge and a structured approach to continuous improvement. A Construction Methods Engineer in this role will contribute technical expertise while helping to strengthen construction methodologies and lessons learned across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver construction methodologies tailored to project requirements, site conditions, materials and schedules.
  • Implement and optimise construction methods, standards, best practices and technical know-how to support efficient project execution.
  • Identify and resolve construction challenges using constructability principles and effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Provide technical expertise on construction techniques to project and site teams to support consistent application of best practice.
  • Maintain clear records of construction methods, changes, outcomes and lessons learned to support future project delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to department improvement initiatives through cross-analysis, workshops, reporting and the development of construction methods standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Essential: At least 3 years of experience with knowledge of construction techniques, materials and HSSE regulations.
  • Essential: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential: Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Essential: Knowledge of analytics and reporting, data management, construction and commissioning, HSSE, quality, regulatory and process safety, leadership and project data analysis.
