Construction Methods Engineer (E&I)

Duration: 12 months
Location: Angola
Rotation: 9x3 weeks rotation schedule

Position Overview

This opportunity is for a Construction Methods Engineer to support Electrical and Instrumentation construction engineering activities within the Oil & Gas sector. The Construction Methods Engineer will play a key role in developing practical construction methodologies, supporting field execution, and ensuring work is prepared effectively for delivery. This position offers the chance to contribute to technically demanding project activity in a brownfield environment. The role will suit a Construction Methods Engineer with strong E&I experience and a solid understanding of construction planning and execution.

Role Context

This position sits within the Oil & Gas industry and supports Electrical and Instrumentation works. The role involves brownfield project activity, with FPSO experience identified as preferred. The working environment is focused on construction engineering and field execution support for E&I scopes during project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineering designs and drawings from a construction perspective for Electrical and Instrumentation scopes.
  • Interpret and develop E&I work packs to support efficient construction execution.
  • Create job cards for planned construction activities.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates for E&I works.
  • Define Electrical and Instrumentation resource requirements.
  • Provide construction engineering and methodology support during project execution and field activities.
  • Support site execution activities related to Electrical and Instrumentation matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Automation & Control Engineering.
  • Essential: Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Essential: Brownfield field experience.
  • Essential: Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation field-related scopes.
  • Desirable: FPSO experience.
