We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source for Construction Superintendent (Offshore-HUC) specialising in offshore compression. This is a long-term contract role working offshore with rotation cycle of 28 days ON / 28 days OFF. Please see details below:

Job Purpose:
- Role of Company site representative and Lead offshore brownfields, shutdown & Hook up by representing the COMPANY, ensuring compliance with Safety, quality, integrity and project objectives.
- Coordinate with OESS & Operation and Contractors to drive efficient Brownfields and Hook up execution & Commissioning and deliver operational excellence during offshore execution phase.
Job Context:
- Directly involved to the COMP3 project is part of a large Compression Development Program decided by Qatar Energy LNG and its Shareholders.
- This major project consists of the delivery of new facilities (5 new riser platforms, 1 wellhead platforms, stalk on risers, cables and FO lines), tieins/modifications to 30 existing platforms.
- This role requires strong leadership and technical experience to drive the EPC Contractor and subcontractors to efficiently offshore execution during Hook Up and Brownfields SIMOPS including Shut
- Down Preparation and execution.
- Ensure there is permanent communication with OESS and Operation during SIMOPS brownfields and Hook up execution.
- Manage multiple internal and external interfaces across the Company and EPC Contractors-require effective communication, flexibility, and collaboration.
- In charge to lead the daily meeting (Safety, PTW coordination, Schedule, etc.) with contractor during offshore execution. Ensure that contractor strictly follow the Company rules during offshore execution without compromise safety, Quality and Integrity of existing asset.
- Ensure that there is sufficient and balanced resources and technical expertise available to support the EPC Contractors, efficiency in resource deployment to support the Hook up & Brownfields offshore execution activities and respect of planning.
- Ensure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in Brownfields & Hook up offshore execution processes, systems, procedures and work products while adhering to established offshore execution and commissioning.
- Position to be located in Qatar offshore in rotation 28 working days and 28 days off. Location will be between JUB and work boat following Contractor schedule.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reports to Head of Brownfield & HU.
- To Adherence to all safety and quality protocols and regulations during offshore execution process.
- To Manage and ensure successful of Offshore Brownfield, Shutdown & Hook up execution including commissioning to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, protect existing Integrity asset, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).
- To Supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Brownfields & Hookup execution ,Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
- To Check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering , Brownfields, Hook up Team Contractor.
- To Review Contractor’s progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.
- To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all subjects, Mechanical completion ,Precommissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
- To Supervise PTW meeting with OESS and contractor, coordinate with all QE-LNG Host to deliver PTW to contractor strictly following Methods statements and JSA approved.
- To Assure all Marine unit under his perimeter strictly follow Marine rule, involve on Marine unit safety tour.
- To Improve safety culture during offshore execution and on Marine Unit (JUB, Work Boat,…) follow and close all safety action under his responsibility perimeter.
- To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company
Qualifications:
High School (12 years of study)
Knowledge and/or Experience
12 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g. construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, BF, Shut Down , etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a Company Site Representative Offshore Lead role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Technical and Business Skills
- Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy offshore execution construction companies.
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution & Commissioning , and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope. Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, operations as applicable to a project scope. Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
