Job Title: Construction Supervisor/Superintendent V [C]
Duration: 1 year (possibility of extension)
Schedule: 3x3 rotational schedule (12 hour a day)

This opportunity supports a major facilities construction program within the energy sector, with a strong focus on construction readiness, field execution, contractor oversight, and HSE performance. The role is suited to professionals with deep expertise in large construction projects, multidisciplinary contractor interfaces, and specialist delivery across civil, pipelines, structural steel, mechanical, or electrical, instrumentation and controls scopes. This position offers the chance to play a key role in safe and successful project delivery in a complex field construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare construction readiness checklists for each annual construction campaign.
  • Review permits, stipulations, engineering drawings, execution constraints, and hazards to finalise field construction plans.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and provide feedback to planning functions.
  • Provide input to construction support strategies including camp logistics, aviation, transportation, equipment, fuel forecasting, material delivery, and laydown requirements.
  • Develop company deliverables required for the construction readiness process.
  • Lead construction readiness activities and weekly planning meetings with contractors.
  • Ensure deliverables are reviewed and approved by accountable functions before mobilization.
  • Review readiness actions and confirm all items are satisfactorily addressed before field mobilization.
  • Support a smooth transition from construction planning into field execution.
  • Supervise assigned construction resources to deliver scope, cost, quality, milestone, and HSE objectives.
  • Monitor contractor performance through construction KPI reporting.
  • Provide direction to contractors on performance improvement opportunities.
  • Interface with contractor field leadership and manage day-to-day contract execution.
  • Manage interfaces between multiple field construction contractors and coordinate SIMOPs activities.
  • Support delivery of agreed execution strategies against key priorities and milestones.
  • Lead HSE performance through communication, support, and enforcement of policies, procedures, guidelines, and objectives.
  • Perform jobsite walk-downs, review task hazard analyses and job hazard analyses, and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Participate in contractor toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Enforce compliance with permit stipulations issued by regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitate predictive indicator meetings and safety engagement sessions to improve safe work behaviors.
  • Support behavior-based safety observations and incident free culture activities in the field.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of construction experience.
  • 7+ years of construction supervision or construction management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver large construction projects safely and successfully.
  • Proven ability to manage interfaces involving multiple field construction contractors.

Required Skills:

  • Specialist knowledge in construction installation methodology and contract management.
  • Technical expertise in at least one major construction discipline: civil, pipelines, structural steel erection, mechanical, or electrical, instrumentation and controls.
  • Strong capability in construction readiness, contractor oversight, and field execution planning.
  • Strong understanding of HSE leadership within active construction environments.

Preferred Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction, or relevant field experience (Preferred).

Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Capital Projects Management System processes.
  • 5+ years of construction experience in Arctic conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated performance as part of a team on a large project and in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Strong multi-tasking capability with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships, encourage dialogue, and influence performance and results.
  • A pragmatic and adaptable approach with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
